So so

Interesting app but not over easy to use.

Doesnt work well at all

The filter effects like sepia work fine, but the colour replacement tool is a pain staking process. When you take a picture of say, a wall, your wall will consists of many different hues, all of which you have to manually paint over. Save yourself the dollar for something more functional and practical!

Pretty neat

Yes the color replacement is a lobg process but once you get the hang of it the results are very neat.

Dont Buy

Hard to use, doesnt work great and will cost another $12 for full functionality

Fake!!!

It doesnt work ... Take or select a photo. Click use it and ... App is closing Super !!!

no useful

difficult to get results

Waste of money

Waste of money. You have to buy the paint color every time you want to see a different color.

Pricey

This app has the potential to be helpful. But the price does not include color selections made by the paint companies. You have to pay extra for that. Its crazy. Since I dont know what I am looking for and would want to see what paint color each company has to offer I would need to pay for access to each companies colors. Way too pricey to pay multiple times.

Not very good

I saw this app featured on gizmodo. I thought it was perfect timing because Ive been trying to redecorate some rooms. Well all it cost me was a dollar to learn that an app isnt going to work wonders. It is not very good at identifying the walls as opposed to other objects. I would say it is not even 50% as effective as using gimp or photoshop to select a color range. I guess I expected more since it was an app dedicated to that. I hope the review saves some of you from wasting your dollar also.

Dont expect much.

Its a nice app but not really worth the money. Pictures do not end up looking anything like what they show you. There is a lot of touching up you have to do to make the pictures look normal/natural.

Guess I should have listened

Others had rated this with one star and said it didnt work but I was still curious (because it was mentioned on gizmodo). Unfortunately the others were correct and it doesnt work "as advertised". Or perhaps it does work as advertised and Sprout! just forgot to mention a few steps. The very first screenshot (currently) says "paint any color on your wall within seconds...", which is in fact true. The problem is that more than just your wall gets painted if anything in photo is even remotely close to the same color pallet as the wall. The example bedroom shot they currently use has a high contrast headboard on the bed, which certainly helps. However, the photos hanging on the wall are to similar in color to the wall itself and would have certainly been blue as well. The creators would have had to first erased to blue off the hanging photos (using the built in eraser tool) and likely partially off the bedside table as well, prior to taking the final screen shot. So while you certainly can achieve the results portrayed it certainly is a lot more tedious than "within seconds". So, since I was able to get the desired result (after about 5 minutes of carefully erasing) Ill give it 2 stars.

Worst app

Gizmodo messed up on this one!! This app is horrible!

I want my dollar back

Guess I should have watched the video showing how this /really/ works before buying, so shame on me. Shame on Gizmodo for "selling" this app as something it isnt. Maybe the dev will update this to be more like we expected it to be after reading these reviews.

A joke!

This is a ripoff

Works only with the perfect picture

99% of you pictures will not work as advertised. Only under the perfect circumstances does this work at all. If person is in the image, you can forget this helping you. Garbage app that does little more than ms paint with most photos.

Quite awful

Simply allows you to manually draw colors on your wall. The interface is non-standard and the results are useless. I highly recommend against buying this app.

Kkkkkrap

Horrible... Can I haz my dollar back? Instructions are junk and will not work without 100% perfect photo and light

Pixelate!

Great app very useful and easy to use!

Great App

TechCrunch summed it to the T. Great app and very easy to use. Just moved into my new apartment and was able to make a full use of this app and dodge quite a few arguments with my wife, thanks to this app. Could do wonders if you go through the tutorial.

Very useful app for interior remodeling

I was a little skeptical to try out this app with some of the comments on here, but I was pleasantly surprised having given in and deciding to make the purchase. Me and my wife were experimenting on a few color options for our walls and drapes, and we were never quite certain what color combinations would work for us. We found a few colors at the paint store that we thought were interesting but it was a tedious process to capture the color from the store and then apply that to the pictures of my walls on my PC, only to find out that the color was not a good choice for the room lighting in the first place. But this app allows me the option of applying the colors that we liked against my walls and drapes while were at the store- Also saving me the multiple trips to the paint store in the process. For somebody whos stumbled more than a few times in picking the right colors for a room, this is definitely a must-have app for my iphone. As an added bonus, my wife who is an avid catalog shopper has also begun to use this app to pick out different colors of clothes similar to what she already has when purchasing online.
